'Pool with Paul', silkscreen print on paper, 50cm x 50cm

This piece was born from a photo I took whilst enjoying a game of pool with my friend Paul; it was taken with a homemade camera fashioned from card, insulating tape and a piece of aluminium can. The image seemed very painterly and I wanted to take it further, breaking down the palette in simple gestural areas of colour.
